Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD (Cannabidiol)?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a compound found naturally in hemp plants. (CBD) is the non-psychoactive component of marijuana, which has anti-inflammatory effects. CBD is non-intoxicating, so you can add CBD to your everyday routine without experiencing a high.

CBD can be found in many forms. People use sublingual CBD Oils, also known as tinctures or simply CBD hemp oil. These oils are popular because they are absorbed under the tongue and take effect relatively quickly. However, you may find CBD oil infused in a range of products, including coffee, edibles, creams, etc.  CBD may also be found in the original flower or “bud”, since CBD originates in the flower of the Cannabis Sativa plant.

Is CBD Hemp Legal?

On December 20th, 2018 Congress passed and President Trump signed into law the Hemp Farming Act which was included in the 2018 farm bill. This Act removed industrial hemp (defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% THC, the compound that produces the high associated with marijuana) from the Schedule 1 controlled substance list making it an ordinary agricultural commodity.  This allows farmers to grow, harvest and process hemp, including those strains rich in CBD. CBD is non-intoxicating and will not generate a high. This is part of the reason the legality surrounding this compound is more relaxed.

The amendments to the Virginia Industrial Hemp Law that became effective on March 21, 2019, permitting the commercial production of industrial hemp. To legally possess hemp plants, viable hemp seed, hemp microgreens, hemp leaves, or hemp flowers in Virginia, you must be a registered Industrial Hemp Grower, Dealer, or Processor or an agent of one of these registrants for the purpose of growing, dealing or processing. In May of 2019, the U.S. Department of Agriculture released a memo explicitly allowing hemp to be transported across State lines so long as it complies with a State-approved program.

What are The Benefits of CBD?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a type of compound called a cannabinoid. Cannabinoids work with a series of receptors in your body known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is involved in a lot of important jobs. These jobs include regulating your anti-inflammatory response, immune system, appetite, mood, anxiety levels, sleep schedule and more. Basically, the ECS helps keep your body in balance. New research is always emerging exploring the link between the ECS and physical, mental, and even emotional health. People take CBD because they want to support their ECS, and all the work it does.

Your body makes its own cannabinoids. These are called endocannabinoids. If you’ve ever experienced a runner’s high, or the thrill of singing along to your favorite song, you’ve experienced the work of endocannabinoids. When plants make this type of compound, they’re called phytocannabinoids (PCR). CBD is one of over a hundred different types of phytocannabinoids found in hemp plants. And CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it does not produce the high associated with marijuana

Who Takes CBD?

We are asked regularly, “why should I be taking CBD, and what CBD should I take?  Since you now know CBD works with your Endocannabinoid System in a very dynamic way, it makes sense why CBD can be used to help in many ways.  We like to think of full spectrum CBD as the great “normalizer”. Whether you are feeling down, anxious, or stressed, or you are dealing with disorders like ADHD, hyperactivity, or staying task-focused, CBD may help.

Some people take CBD because they need support for specific reasons while others want to enhance their overall well-being. Below is a list of the most common reason one may take CBD:

• CBD is commonly used to address anxiety and depression, and for those who suffer through the misery of insomnia, both for falling asleep and staying asleep.
• CBD may also help alleviate those dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• CBD has been touted for a wide variety of health issues, but the strongest scientific evidence is for its effectiveness in treating some of the cruelest childhood epilepsy.
• CBD may be an option for treating different types of chronic pain.  Applied on the skin, CBD may help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis or various neuropathies.
• CBD oil has been studied for its potential role in easing symptoms of many common health issues, including multiple sclerosis, substance abuse treatment, diabetes, anti-tumor effects, high blood pressure, acne and heart disease.

Can I Get High from CBD?

You cannot get high on CBD. Unlike cannabinoids such as Delta-8, Delta-9 (marijuana), and Delta-10 THC, CBD has shown to not have any psychoactive effects.

I use marijuana, why should I consider CBD products?

CBD has shown in studies to have many benefits THC does not provide such as
• Reducing inflammation, anxiety and insomnia
• Improves skin disorders and gut health
• Reducing menstrual complications
• Reducing the likelihood of contracting COVID-19.

Would I use CBD for the same reason that I would use THC?

CBD and THC effect the body differently. Speak to one of our CBD consultants and find out how premium grade, full spectrum CBD may work for you.

Will CBD counteract with my prescription drugs?

You should always check with your doctor before using CBD if you are taking prescription drugs.

Will CBD give me a positive drug test?

Since there are traces of THC in plant-based CBD products, there is a chance you may test positive depending on the type of test being conducted. If your job has a zero-tolerance drug policy, we recommend not using CBD.

Why would I use the CBD Beverage Infuser?

Our Beverage infuser offers the highest bio-available form of CBD. Through ultrasonic nano-emulsification, we reduce CBD oil droplets to a size (approx. 70nm), and wrap them inside a water molecule which allows our oil to bypass the liver and go directly into your bloodstream. You simply add a small amount (0.5ml-1.0 ml) directly to your favorite beverage.

What’s the difference between Delta 8 and CBD?

Like Delta-9 THC (Marijuana), Delta-8 THC is one of several Cannabinoids that offer psychoactive effects. Delta-8 THC is derived from CBD via a solvent-based process using temperature and pressure over time. All Cannabreeze Delta-8 products take a balanced approach to this cannabinoid, developed entirely using food-grade processes.

Do all CBD products do the same thing?

While CBD in general offer the same benefits, not all CBD is the same.  CBD comes in many varieties, and like any plant-based product, processing degrades the quality.  Ask yourself several questions when considering your choice in selecting the right CBD product for you:
• Where did your CBD come from?
• Is it full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, distillate, or isolate?
• Are your ailments internal (insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, neuropathy, fitness recovery, etc.)
• Are your ailments external (muscle/joint pain, acute inflammation, skin disorder, etc.)

How do you take CBD Oil?

The most common and usually the least expensive way to get premium grade, full spectrum CBD oil into your body is by placing small amounts of oil right under your tongue.  Once there, hold it for about 2 minutes. Whatever remains after that you’ll swallow, but this allows much of the oil to penetrate through the very thin membrane under your tongue, bypassing your digestive system and head into your bloodstream.  This is known as the sublingual method.

Why would You want to take CBD this way?
Since CBD needs to connect with your CB1 and CB2 receptors in your endocannabinoid system, you need to get this amazing cannabinoid and all it’s friends into the bloodstream so the cannabinoids can find it’s way to these receptors.
